About Us
The Merlin Community Park, located in Josephine County Oregon, was established in 1982 as a non-profit organization. It was developed to provide recreational opportunities and community focus, particularly to the Merlin, Hugo, and Colonial Valley areas..
The park features a Picnic Area with Bar B Q Pits, a playground with swings, a community center with full kitchen, and restroom facilities that are open to all citizens, visitors, and tourists. The park is open from sunrise to sunset and overnight camping is not allowed. The Park Board, elected by the residents of the Merlin Community Park District, manage the Park with the help of volunteers and donations from the greater Rogue Valley.
The Merlin Community Park has been developed into a multifaceted recreational site with a playground, horseshoe pits, basketball court, and sports field with baseball diamond. The park is one of the only recreational facilities in the Northern portion of Josephine County and it is commonly used by local families and tourists. The Park is located on Merlin Road at the intersection of Acorn Dr. and is noticeable by its Veterans Walk of Honor memorial, which is available for viewing 24 hours a day.
